Supreme Court Affirms Gov. Nwifuru as Duly Elected governor.
The Supreme Court of Nigeria has validated the election victory of Governor Francis Nwifuru of Ebonyi State as the duly elected Governor of Ebonyi State.
Recalled that the Governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Mr Ifeanyi Odii had challenged the election of Gov. Nwifuru on the grounds of electoral malpractice. He also added that Nwifuru was not properly sponsored his political party for the March 18, 2023 election.
Delivering the judgment on Friday, Justice Tijani Abubakar, who led a five-member panel of the court, held that “the appeal” was always going “to fall like a pack of cards”.
