JUST IN: GOV. MBA APPROVES NEW MINIMUM WAGE FOR ENUGU WORKER, SEE AMOUNT
The Enugu State Governor, His Excellency, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah has approved a new minimum wage of N80,000 for workers in the state. The new wage will begin from October 2024. Gov. Mba made this known to the public through his official Twitter handle, asserting the importance of supporting the hardwork and sacrifice of the state employees.
In his tweet, Governor Mbah said:
”I have just approved a minimum wage of N80,000 for Enugu workers, effective October 2024. We appreciate the hard work and sacrifices of the state’s workforce and will continue to prioritize their welfare in line with our campaign promises.*
This decision aligns with the Governor’s commitment to improving the welfare of public servants, a key pledge during his election campaign. The new wage policy is expected to ease the financial burden on workers and enhance productivity across all sectors of the state’s workforce.
Governor Mbah’s administration has reiterated its focus on workers’ welfare and is expected to continue implementing policies that uplift the livelihoods of Enugu State’s employees.
