Gov. Otti to Officially Commission 14 Roads and 4 Fully Equipped Primary Health Centers
The government of Abia State is pleased to announce that His Excellency, Dr. Alex Chioma Otti, OFR, the Executive Governor of Abia, will inaugurate several vital infrastructure and healthcare projects across the state. These initiatives include the commissioning of 14 roads and four fully equipped Primary Health Care Centers (PHCs) as part of the ambitious Project Ekwueme PHC’s Program, covering all 184 wards in Abia.
Governor Otti, who is set to kick off a series of 55 projects in the coming weeks, will launch the first phase with these initial projects in Abia South and Central senatorial zones. The events are scheduled to occur between Tuesday, June 10, and Wednesday, June 11, 2025.
This milestone highlights the administration’s unwavering dedication to delivering on its promises under the “New Abia” vision—centered on transparent governance, infrastructure development, enhanced healthcare, and socio-economic progress.
The official ceremonies will take place each day at 12 noon, immediately followed rallies at the respective project sites, where the Governor will perform ribbon-cutting and declare the projects officially open.

- Enyimba Junction – Ariaria Gate Road (0.3 km, Greater Aba Development Authority)
- Market Road Rehabilitation (from Asa Road to Eziukwu Road, 0.744 km, Ministry of Works)
- Tenant Road Rehabilitation (from Asa Road to Eziukwu Road, 0.740 km, Ministry of Works)
- Cameroun Road Rehabilitation (from Asa Road to Eziukwu Road, 0.711 km, Ministry of Works)
