CAMPUS WITHOUT SCHOLARS IS A LONE ISLAND

Scholars wonder what becomes of their institution when they vacate especially in a private institution and this has become clear to the scholars of Gregory University Uturu who are undergoing the Students Work Experience Program (SWEP) currently in the campus. Students Work Experience Program is one of the numerous initiatives of Prof Gregory Ibe, the Founder and Proprietor of our prestigious institution. It is a program aimed to expose scholars to real life experience and expertise in their various professions. This program is usually done immediately after our 200L exams. However, while new intending 300L scholars stay back in the campus to undergo this program, other higher level and intending 200L scholars are asked to go, thus, making the campus empty and lonely. As we go through this work experience, we realized that a campus without scholars is a lone island.
Random interviews and answers from the SWEP Scholars of Gregory University uturu have proved that although they enjoy the experience, but they also worried about being lonely and empty.
According to some scholars, campus became a lone island due to the absence of most scholars who are yet to resume. Rather than the busy school premises we are used to, it has become a “mind your business” premises for the “Swepers” but the Swep program activities has somehow become a temporary remedy to this loneliness in that you can still find your course mates to gist with.
However, some scholars seem to prefer the serenity in the premises unlike others. After much research, it has being found out that 50% of them do not share the same view with the rest, but agreed that the SWEP activities worth the stress and loneliness.
